16mm Film Transfer
to DVD, MiniDV (DVC), and/or Hard Drive (AVI or QuickTime File)

Our website allows you to easily generate an order, but first let us start with an Estimate!

Unlike 8mm film, it's a bit more difficult to generate an accurate estimate for 16mm film transfers. This is because some of the reels don't clearly show how much film they hold. Please keep in mind, we will only charge you for the exact amount of footage we transfer (in minutes).

We added an option so you can base your estimate on the weight of the film. (If you choose to use this option, first remove the reels from their protective cans and then weigh them. You will find this option under the field "Total film" -- then select 'pounds' in your drop-down menu.)

Simple 16mm Calculator
This tool will help you get an estimate, then you may continue on in placing your order.
Start with sorting your reels by size. Enter the appropriate numbers in the count-column. Then select your appropriate frames-per-second setting by clicking on the corresponding radio-button. The most common speeds are 16 frames per second and 24 frames per second. Finally, click Estimate.
